About

CITCEA-UPC

CITCEA-UPC is a Technical University of Catalonia (UPC BarcelonaTech) technology transfer center. CITCEA-UPC aims to work directly with companies to assist them in their challenges and offer technical solutions, analysis, simulations and functional prototypes able to be industrialized. This close collaboration with companies and a wide range of industries have made possible CITCEA-UPC to become a reference center in technology transfer.

Since 2001 CITCEA-UPC is part of TECNIO network. TECNIO is the stamp awarded by the Generalitat de Catalunya, through ACCIÓ, to identify where you will find the most innovative technology, developers who offer it and facilitators involved in the process of transfer of technology and knowledge. In 2009 CITCEA-UPC was officially recognized by AGAUR (Agency for Management of University and Research of Catalonia) as a consolidated research group.

CITCEA-UPC know-how includes power electronics, digital control, simulations and all types of applications requiring energy control and/or movement: Electricity, control electronics, power electronics, industrial communications and digital control with processors in several applications which come from power systems, automation and prototyping until renewable and efficient energies and electrical grids.

Based on the acquired experiences in Mechatronics and Enertronics in close contact with industry and organizations, CITCEA-UPC has its own training program for professionals and offers the Master in Mechatronics and Master in Enertronics, both supported by the Foundation UPC, and professional courses in energy, power electronics, automation and mechatronics fields.
