The Centre of Technological Innovation in Static Converters and Drives (CITCEA) is a research, development and technology transfer centre that belongs to the Politechnical University of Catalonia (UPC). The activities in the CITCEA are distributed in three principal areas: Energy, Mechatronics and Education.
The Mechatronics team is specialized in electrics and electronics, power electronics, control and communications by microprocessors or DSP equipments, for develop mechatronics and automation applications.
The Energy team has the expertise in energetic innovation, in all activities related with the electric area and with the power supply; from its generation until the final consumption.
Both areas participate in design and development of static converters, connecting the power electric systems and industrial and domestic applications.
All the experience and knowledge acquired in the projects development in national and european fields, guarantee the CITCEA for the transfer of this KNOW-HOW into Professional Courses suitable to the companies and Mechatronics master degree form.
