CITCEA-UPC is already member of ETG, The EtherCAT Technology Group. ETG is the forum in which key user companies from various industries and leading automation suppliers join forces to support, promote and advance the EtherCAT technology.

EtherCAT is communications bus based in Ethernet with characteristics in real time because of the bus access method used. The plot of EtherCAT is an Ethernet frame which passes through all nodes of the network, where all slaves are reading and writing the information they are interested in and allows fast and deterministic communications.
